Hello Misty!

I've been missing my momma Misty all week while she's been hanging out with the kitties at Reston. So as you can imagine, I was anxious to see her at the adoption event this Sunday at the Reston Petsmart! When I arrived I went straight to the kitty condo and scooped up my Misty to give her some lovings. She was her snuggly, lovable self and nuzzled my hands as I scratched her chin.

I learned that Misty had become one of the volunteer favorites in her short time at the Petsmart. She just adores people and is such a playful girl! She was chasing feathers and scaling the kitty tree at speeds that amazed the young volunteers. She put on such a show that after a couple of hours of playtime Misty was ready for a nice long nap. When I said goodbye she was passed out on her fluffy blankets gently holding a fluffy mouse under her paw. She is too precious.

Hello Reston!

Misty is going on a little vacation to hang out with the kitties at the Reston Petsmart kitty center starting today! At first I was sad to drop off my momma kitty, but I knew it would give more people the opportunity to meet her and fall as madly in love with her as I am already.

Misty is basically the queen of the center. She has the largest kitty condo with extra climbing space and multiple volunteers to visit her each a few times a day.

I filled her kitty condo with her fluffy pink bed, soft blankets, her angled scratcher, and toys galore. So this little lady will be very comfy and entertained during her stay at Reston. She was perching on the climbing cubbies and perfectly content when I left. I hope her stay is short lived and that she finds a wonderful home soon. She deserves it! Until then, I'll be missing my Misty.

Star and Moon got adopted!

Star decided to take a sampling of my water tonight. She seemed to think that my water was extra tasty, even better than the water from their fancy fountain. She is a cutie.

Family Reunion

Misty and the kittens have been separated for a month now while the kittens were weaned and Misty was gaining some weight back. Tonight they were reunited and spent some time in full on play mode! She is such a kitten herself.

An afternoon at Tysons

Here's my little Star and Moon snuggling at the Tysons adoption event this Sunday. They got to meet lots of children and play with their feather teasers and now... well now they're ready for a nap.

Diamond got adopted!

My little diva Diamond got adopted tonight by another great family! Misty and her other two Lucky Charms are still looking for homes!

Moon and Star had a lot of fun at the adoption event tonight! They especially enjoyed playing with their brand new feather teaser!

Top of the Kitten Post

The kittens love to play! They were each taking turns climbing on the mini kitten scratching post in between laps around the bedroom. Diamond just looks at you as if to say, "Well... are you going to pay attention to me?!" Star gently reaches out for me with her little paws. And Moon just gazes adoringly at me as he purrs. They are such sweet little ones! I just love them.

Clover got adopted!

My little cuddle bug Clover was adopted today by a lovely family. He is a very lucky little guy!

Misty and her other three little Lucky Charms will be at adoption events again next weekend looking for families of their own!

Cone Kitties!

Today was spay and neuter day for Misty and the Lucky Charms! They are all in cones right now and not super happy about it, but they are on the mend and being good sports.

The kittens are very much enjoying their dinner...

Misty is still loving her scratching post, no cone will contain her.

Playtime with the kittens!

Wack wack says the kitty!

Misty gives Apollo some playful paws on the nose while she tries to get him to play with her. She's so brave with the puppies and seems to really love dogs.

Sparkles!

I bought the kittens new sparkle collars this week and they are looking super snazzy!

Here they are modeling them.

Clover is looking handsome in green. Moon is regal in light blue. Star is beautiful in purple. And Diamond is rocking the pink like a diva.

Misty is stunning in her ruby red collar, but I think this craft kitty will have it off in no time.

Puppy Kisses

Our pitbull Apollo LOVES kitties and the Lucky Charms love him too! Watch their first meeting as they play, nuzzle, and give LOTS of kisses.

Misty LOVES her Scratcher Post

Misty is such a silly love. Here she is loving on her scratcher post. She loves ropes and nuzzles everything she can reach. I love this kitty!

Parrots

My girls love to sit on my shoulders while I hang out in the kitten room. Diamond alternates between pawing at my hair and rubbing my face with her nose.

Star takes a quieter approach. She delicately climbs up on my shoulder and nuzzles my cheek. She gives the best eskimo kisses.

Couch time with Misty

Momma Misty is such a love bug! I was in desperate need of a study break and Misty was more than happy to snuggle with me on the couch while I watched a little TV. She loves belly rubs and is always giving me eskimo kisses. This little lady is a very special kitty and I love her dearly.

Big Boy Moon!

Moon is the first kitten to reach the 2 lb benchmark! Once his siblings catch up they will be off to the vet to get spayed and neutered, then up for adoption! Time flies when you have awesome kittens. :)

Peek a boo!

The girls were playing peek a boo in the shelves today. Clover tried to jump in, but it was a party for the ladies. Too cute!

Window Watchers

The girls absolutely love looking out the window. They are curious kittens!

Kitten's Meow!

Little Diamond is quite the diva! She is the first kitten to meow at me as soon as I come into the kitten room. She's telling me, "Momma where's my food?!" and "Love me! Love me!" This little girl loves affection and man can she eat! She started off as the runt of the litter and is now bigger than her once big sister Star. Whoever adopts this special princess will have to keep spoiling her, but I promise she is worth it!

Vet Visit

Momma Misty and the Lucky Charms kittens had another check up at the vet today. Momma is gaining weight back and is up to a petite 6.5 lbs. They are all feeling much better and got another round of antibiotics to hopefully knock out their upper respiratory infections for good. Here's momma meowing in her fashion forward carrier and her babies keeping an eye on her from the back seat.

Kitten Pile!

Misty and the kittens are feeling much better after their trip to the vet. It is wonderful to see the sneezing going away and their eyes finally starting to clear up!

I came into the kitten room to feed the babies lunch and here they were in a kitten pile of cuteness! 

Moon was excited for his salmon pate! Yum...

Chow time!

My momma Misty is FINALLY eating again after getting congested. Blue ridge vets gave her a nice appetite stimulant and now she is eating like a champ, which is good because she is quite a skinny love at only 5 pounds. I think she's enjoying having her own room away from the kittens where she can relax and get the peace and quiet she deserves.

Window watching

Momma Misty loves to look out the window at the squirrels and the dogs running around in the backyard. She is still so skinny, but I'm hoping to fatten her up along with her babies, especially once she's feeling better. They still have the sneezes.

Study Time

Clover seems to think economics is boring, so he decided to use my book as a pillow. He is so darn cute!

Diamond took the most direct approach and began to whack my book with her paws when I continued to study. Take that economic analysis...

Star peeked around my book, with her big eyes. What are you reading there?

I don't understand why you aren't holding me...

Moon calmly watched me read wondering when I would open another can of salmon pate for him and his siblings.

Misty was just happy to have a babysitter and another adult to meow at about her day. Silly momma.
